The Congregational Church of Laconia seeks a part-time administrative and communications associate to work up to 12 hours, 3 mornings a week in the office with church staff and members. Primary tasks will include updating websites, posting information via social media, and producing communication and worship material via Microsoft Office applications. Other duties will include assisting with weekly mailings, medical lending ministry, answering phones, and member relations. PT Parish Administrator

First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, NH

The Parish Administrator will provide overall support and coordination of the office work involved in the ministry and business of the church, including financial and church document record-keeping, facility use/event calendar and light maintenance coordination, production of worship materials/bulletins, and internal and external communications, including updating information on the website.
       The responsibilities of the job could shift or expand to include the particular applicants’ interests, gifts, and skills. This position requires a knowledge of or willingness to learn about church ministry, as well as strong organizational and computer skills, knowledge of internet and social network communications with the ability to work in a team with flexibility and compassion. The Parish Administrator directly reports to the Pastor and is accountable to the Pastor and the Board of Trustees. The work schedule will be arranged in conversation with the Pastor, to provide the church with steady office hours from week to week. 15-25 hours per week. High School diploma or GED; Associate degree or higher preferred.

Interim Accompanist/Organist

Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ

Immediate opening for an accompanist/organist. Interim position to begin by June 16, 2024.

The ideal candidate is familiar with church music, has good communication skills and works well with people of all ages. This individual will work closely with the Director of Music, Pastor and office administrator during the summer, and also with the music committee during the regular season.

Duties to include (interim position):

  • Summer position is June 16, 2024- August 11, 2024 followed immediately by the regular church season. There is no choir in the summer, so there are no evening rehearsals and no choral introit, choral anthem or benediction but accompanist will select and play prelude, postlude, and communion music (first Sunday of the month) as well as an anthem

  • For the regular church season, Select, prepare and play prelude, postlude, communion music. Service consists of three hymns (selected by the pastor/music director) and choral music (selected by the Director of Music) for the introit, offertory anthem, and benediction response.

  • Provide music for special services throughout the year including, but not limited to, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday during Holy Week

  • Play for choir rehearsals on Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm, September to mid June. The choir also rehearses 8:30-9:10 am, before the 9:30 Sunday service

  • Right of first refusal for funerals and weddings for additional compensation.

  • Serve as a performance and rehearsal accompanist for all soloists (vocal or instrumental) as needed for services

  • Attend monthly music committee meetings during the regular church season (September- mid June)

  • We have Baldwin baby grand piano and a Viscount digital hybrid 4 manual organ

  • Compensation: $14,000.00 for the regular church season, and $150.00 for each summer sunday service played (total of 9 Sundays)

Part-Time Choir Director

Congregational Church of Hooksett

The Congregational Church of Hooksett is seeking a part time choir director to lead a choir of about 12 individuals.

The choir director will be responsible for rehearsing and directing the choir during the choir year which begins at the end of August and continues through mid June. The choir rehearses one hour during the week and at 9 AM for a half hour on Sunday morning before worship. The worship service is at 10 AM.
