Church/Clergy-related items only. The purpose of this page is to provide a forum for the wider UCC community. Items advertised here are for sale, free, or may be "wish list" things (eg. choir robes, bibles, pianos, etc).

  • A written notice, including a description of your item(s) must be received at least one week prior to posting. A contact person along with the name of the church/organization, phone number and/or email must also be included in the notice.

Havenwood Heritage Heights

An exciting opportunity has become available in our community! We are looking for a chaplain to provide spiritual care and worship leadership to our residents at Havenwood Heritage Heights.

The chaplain has a multi-faceted role providing spiritual care to the residents, family, and staff. This includes providing residents, their families, and staff with support to assist them through periods of transition, grief, loss, and anxiety within the framework of Havenwood Heritage Heights’s mission and philosophy.

The chaplain has strong emotional and spiritual maturity, flexible personal style and excellent communication skills to be able to competently work with crisis, stress, and loss of a large and dynamic community of senior living. Possess the strong ability to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team members and persons of diverse religious, cultural and racial backgrounds. Must be a team player.


Requirements:

  • Membership or eligibility for membership in a professional association of chaplains, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in ministry, in addition to CPE.

  • An active relationship with a faith community and denomination; ordination or commissioned ministry preferred.

  • College degree required. Master’s degree in theology, ministry, counseling, or divinity preferred

  • One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required, four units preferred.

  • Experience in spiritual care and chaplaincy in a health care setting, preferably long term care.

  • Appreciation and respect for diverse spiritual and cultural traditions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team, good organizational skills, and affinity for working with the elderly.

  • Self- motivated, independent, organized, and able to prioritize work

Overview

The First Congregational Church in Wilmot, an Open and Affirming church of the United Church of Christ, is seeking a part-time Music Director.  This is a small and vital, rural church, located on N. Wilmot Road in Wilmot, with an energetic congregation which draws worshippers from the greater New London, NH, area.


Requirements

  • Candidates must have a good background in music, with experience providing piano accompaniment for congregational singing and liturgical music.

  • Candidates must be willing to work closely with the pastor and communicate effectively with both the pastor and the congregation.

  • Flexibility, enjoyment of worship, willingness to try different types of music, and being comfortable in a small church setting are desired.


Responsibilities

  • Provide prelude, postlude, offering, responsive singing, and hymn accompaniment on piano at Sunday 10 am worship services.

  • Lead church choir, when active, and facilitate special music.

  • Provide music at special services; i.e., Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and funerals/weddings when available.

First Congregational Church of Manchester, NH is seeking a part-time tech support for in-person and livestreamed church services, including Sunday morning video, slides and sound operation from 8:30 am to about 11:30 am, with work-from-anywhere communication with service leaders during the week. Oversee and train volunteer tech support. Immediate Opening: Keyboardist/Music Minister

West Congregational United Church of Christ - Concord, NH

West Congregational United Church of Christ in Concord, NH is searching for a Keyboardist/Music Minister (pianist or organist). This position is available to start immediately.


The ideal candidate is familiar with church music, has good communication skills and works well with people of all ages. This individual will work closely with the Pastor, the music committee and the Diaconate. Position is permanent part time. 10 hours per week.


Duties to include:

● Select, prepare and play prelude, postlude, communion music. Service consists of two or three hymns (selected by the pastor/music director) and choral music for the introit, offertory anthem, and benediction response. Sunday Service starts at 10 AM.

● Provide music for special services throughout the year including, but not limited to, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday.

● Accompany choir rehearsals

● We have an upright Piano and a Yamaha keyboard system. We also have a set of bells and some experienced ringers.
